Gonzalo Castro probably has no future at Borussia Dortmund. Now the VfB Stuttgart shows interest in the midfielder. He still has a contract with BVB until 2020.
The time of Gonzalo Castro at Borussia Dortmund seems to be coming to an end. After the signing of Bremen’s Thomas Delaney, the black and yellow want to thin out their midfield.
The first victim could be Castro, according to the picture. Already in the past season, the former international under coach Peter Stöger had a tough time. In the last six games, the 31-year-old did not even come to the train. This in turn calls the VfB Stuttgart on the plan.
Sporting Director Michael Reschke knows the defensive specialist very well and worked successfully for 15 years with him at Bayer Leverkusen. Apparently, the Swabians would be willing to pay the required transfer fee in the amount of five to seven million euros.
However, Castro is also at other clubs on the list.
